Scenario

The schematic shows the layout of the process. The scenario provides additional detail about the process along with some assumptions about the situation.

The scenario specifies details about:

  • The clinic’s clients
    • How many will arrive at each of the staging areas?
    • What are their language requirements?
    • When will they arrive?
    • How many will require special treatment (e.g., Contact Evaluation)?
  •  The clinic
    • What are the hours of operation?
    • How much time does each clinic task require?
    • How many resources are available to carry out each task?
  • The transportation system
    • How many parking spaces does each staging area have?
    • How many shuttle buses serve each staging area?
    • How many clients can ride on a shuttle bus?
    • What routes do shuttles follow?
    • What are the distances and expected travel times for each shuttle bus route?

The following graphs and tables show typical scenario information.
